TAKING GOD SERIOUSLY PART 1
Friends we live in a serious age. The things that are taking place in our world are serious things. If you were to ask anyone living in Iraq if times were serious they would without a doubt agree. If you were to ask Americans who are out of work they to would agree. So why is it that we do not take God Seriously in serious times. Let me suggest to you two things. Either they don't believe that God trully exists or they feel that God is the one to blame for everything that is happening?
Friends I can say confidently that God does exist. Just take a moment and look at the human body. Scientists who are looking for the truth are finding such complexity in single cells that it is boggling their minds. Intelligent design is relevant and the Designers letter for humanity (i.e.The Bible) is just as relevant. God's letter says,
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handy work. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun." (Psalms 19:1-4)
IT IS TIME WE TAKE GOD SERIOUSLY!
So is God to blame? Many people seem to think so and yet when you read God's letter it gives us an amazing story that speaks to the contrary. I want you to notice these passages from the Bible.
"And there was war in heaven: Michael (i.e. Christ) and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was there place found anymore in heaven." (Revelation 12:7,8)
War in heaven? And who is this dragon the Bible is speaking about? Verse 9 of Revelation 12 tells us clearly that it is the old serpant called the devil, and Satan. Friends it is true, the devil really does exist but without horns, a pitch fork, and a pointed tail. Satan loves when people believe this deception for God says;
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Notice that Satan was an angel before he was a devil and his angels are the angels that choose to follow him. Yes, Satan was an angel that was created by God but he was not created a devil!
